About me
I am Michael, a product designer based out of Kampala, Uganda. I have had the pleasure of working on teams and users in East, West and South Africa plus the Europe, Asia and United States.
With more than 8 years of experience designing solutions for B2B and B2C products and startups and bigger companies internationally, I am very passionate about design leadership and problem solving. I would love to share what we can build together.
Beyond work
I love EDM music, cooking, traveling, exploring different cultures, hanging out with my dog, listening to nerdy podcasts, and chilling with awesome friends.
Approach
Iterative flow. Valid solutions
Empathy
This is always going to be a starter for me. I hate to move with wrong assumptions, so I like to immerse in the moment and learn what really pains.
Definition
A little (or longer) time around the perceived challenge should help me better understand what the real challenge is. I need this to be very clear going forward.
Ideation
It’s critical to come up with a couple of concepts that could potentially solve our challenge. I like to involve other people who are closer to brainstorm.
Validation
Ideas are ideas until they are proven to solve the real challenge of the real user. I believe this is a universal concept and so critical.
